DTG Printing - Hoodies & t-shirts

T-shirt & Hoodie Printing

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]All of our products are produced on demand, we feel this is better for the environment, we only use what the customer orders. Because we want to be more eco friendly, we only use this process, this means the print technology on our hoodies and t-shirts is direct to garment (or DTG for short).

DTG is pretty much like using a printer to print on fabric. Because it works like a printer, it can support the most detailed design.  Printing in this way allows us more freedom when using colours and allows us to offer free customisation on certain products.

There are a few things you need to take into account when purchasing, firstly, if you’re buying a hoodie in a dark colour with white print, the white will be slightly lessened by the colour of the dark fabric, Direct-to-garment is a printing method that sprays the ink onto the garment using inject technology. The inks then soak into the fibers of the garment. It’s sort of like printing on paper, except on clothing. This is particularly more noticeable on hoodies where the fabric is thicker and rougher than on t-shirts.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12633″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12632″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]These photos haven’t been doctored in any way, they were taken in our office using an iPhone. In the zoomed images above you can see that when you get close you can see the texture of the garment through the print, but when you zoom out, it looks exactly as the presentation image.

Because of the DTG process, some colours may appear faded, this is part of the DTG printing process and is sometimes unavoidable. We take care with our designs so that the image you see online matches the quality of the finished product.

If you purchase a dark coloured product with white printing to get the most life from your garment, when washing use a colour catcher sheet to prevent the garment colours from staining the ink design.

Another thing you will notice when you unwrap your amazing new garment is a fresh ink smell which is a result of the DTG garment printing. This is completely normal and will fade after a few hours.
